Nokia finally Present at CommunicAsia After 10 Year Absence
Why interesting? Because after an absence of nearly 10 years in the event CommunicAsia, the Finnish vendor is finally back by opening a booth at the event. Nokia will be coupled with dozens of other vendors, including the RIM BlackBerry.
Launched by the Straits Times on Monday (6/20/2011), in conjunction with CommunicAsia 2011, Nokia still hold a regular annual event in the form of the Nokia Connection. Specifically, this celebration will be attended and opened by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.
According to schedule, Elop will be the keynote speaker at the forum was opened in conjunction with CommunicAsia. The presence of Elop will talk about his company and the new targets, including updates on their cooperation with Microsoft.
Meaning Elop presence at the event certainly does have significance, because as we know Asia is an important market for Nokia. At its heyday, at least 8 out of 10 mobile phones sold in Asia every day.
CommunicAsia and Nokia Connection course brings significance for Nokia, after enjoying the sweet times in Asia, began to erode their market berlahan. The presence of the BlackBerry is not the only rival to Nokia, because Nokia was ready to overthrow the hegemony of Nokia so strong over the last 10 years.
So what are the missions that will be brought Elop to Asia, especially Southeast Asia? Consider the continued news on the Legal, as we will report it directly from Singapore!
