HTC has shipped 12 million units of smartphone in second quarter of 2011

TAIPEI - Satisfactory results was successfully achieved due to the HTC's high demand on their handsets. Recorded HTC has shipped 12 million units of smartphone in second quarter.

Taiwan's number one handset vendor, HTC's managed to increase his business profits to double in the second quarter of 2011.

As reported by Yahoo News, Saturday (30/07/2011), HTC net profit during the second quarter rose 103 percent to 17.5 billion Taiwan dollars (USD607 million), with revenues of approximately 124 billion Taiwan dollars.

Taiwanese vendor's managed to strengthen its business due to the attractive design of the phone-based Android operating system from Google.

Referring to these results, HTC mobile phone shipments in the third quarter is expected to grow 98 percent from a year earlier to 13.5 million units and revenue reached 137 billion Taiwan dollars, or up 80 percent from the same period in 2010.

According to HTC, the launch of a number of low-end model also adds to his income. They note that sales growth in Asia than in the United States and Europe.
