CALIFORNIA - However, RIM's statement was taken badly by some people, one of which is Teamp0ison hacker group, which attacked the BlackBerry's official blog, so that the site be down.
Research In Motion (RIM) found that hackers hijacked the BlackBerry's official blog, related to statements they made related to the riots of London.
As quoted from Mashable, Wednesday (08/10/2011), the rioters using BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to communicate with others, instead of using media such as Twitter or Facebook.
Responding to the action the RIM tweeted "We feel sorrow for those affected by the riots in London. We have been connected with the authorities for any help that we can '.
Here is an excerpt from the hacker group statement on the official blog Teamp0ison BlackBerry, before the site is down.
"To the Honorable RIM, you will not help the police to handle cases of this riot, because if yes, then the police will arrest people who are not innocent, just because they have a BlackBerry and its location tracked," the group wrote Teamp0ison.
Besides the Teamp0ison, also wrote that they do not tolerate when exposed to attack innocent people in the unrest. "We are here to support the rioters who attacked the government and police. The BlackBerry employee is guilty 'because they will help the police," he concluded.
"Then if you really going to help the police, by leaking the chat logs, GPS location, access to fuel, and other information, then you will regret it. Why? Because we have access to your database along with your employee information, address, name, phone number. If you help the police, then we will divulge the information to the rioters, "he added.
