Asus rumored to be introducing two new tablets measuring 7 inches and 10 inches at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, at 10 to 13 in January. Two Asus new tablet is scheduled to launch in the second half of this year.
Asus said it will release a tablet that runs with Windows operating systems 8 and use of ARM processors.
The news was confirmed by Samson Hu, Vice President and General Manager of Asus Eee Systems Business Unit, in a press conference Pre-CES 2012 in Taipei, last weekend.
This step was taken after some time ago Asus announced that the Microsoft operating system Windows 8 for tablet support the x86 architecture and ARM-based microprocessor.
Previously, Microsoft only builds the Windows operating system based on Intel x86. While ARM-based processor is more widely used in mobile devices, like smartphones and tablets.
In Windows 8, Microsoft began designing these operating systems can work in addition to the PC, also in tablet device and possibly also on advanced smartphones, even for the smartphone has not been confirmed by Microsoft.
Although from Microsoft itself has not set a date for the release of Windows 8. However, Microsoft will provide Windows 8 in beta form as a preview to developers and vendors. A beta version is planned to be downloaded in February.
