HTC Windows Phone 8S's cheap version of 8X


HTC Windows Phone 8S will be present in December.

HTC immediately kicked off Windows Phone 8 mobile phone market by introducing two types at once.

After introducing a high end smartphone Windows Phone 8X, HTC launched a series of Windows Phone 8 is cheaper. The device is named HTC 8S.


"HTC Windows Phone 8S is a series of Windows Phone 8 which is cheaper than 8X. Though cheaper, the screens between 8X and 8S differ only slightly," said Justin Zhang, Senior Product Marketing, HTC South Asia, when found in Jakarta, on Thursday (11/08/2012).

Windows Phone 8S has a 4-inch screen, while the armed 8X screen measuring 4.3 inches. Both protected with Gorilla Glass display the second generation.

The processor used is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core. 512MB of RAM is used.

Windows Phone 8S comes equipped only with a camera alone. There is no front camera on this smartphone, together with the Nokia Lumia 800. At the rear there is a 5MP camera with an image sensor that is capable of recording video at 720p quality.

The capacity of the storage media on Windows Phone 8S was not as 8X, which is only 4GB. However, users can enlarge their capacity by using the microSD.

The battery of this device with a capacity of 1.700 mAh.
