contradictions/misperception surrounding Blackberry's Smartphone

Research in Motion (RIM) dismissed the issues related sloping BlackBerry. RIM's vice president, Alec Saunders, dismissed the notion that BlackBerry sales declined recently.

"There are 70 million active BlackBerry users at this time" he said. Besides the sheer number of users, Alec also dismissed the notion that the BlackBerry is only for business. According to data from RIM, he said, 7 of 10 BlackBerry users using their BlackBerry devices for the things that are personal, such as opening a social networking site.

"The five most frequent applications are downloaded including BBM, Facebook, and Twitter," said Alec. Another myth, continued Alec, is a supposition that does not mention that BlackBerry users to download applications.

"BlackBerry users to download two times more applications than the average of other mobile device users," he said. Finally, the assumption that says that the BlackBerry application developers can not make money through his work.

The assumption was, said Alec, is a myth. "BlackBerry App World to benefit 40 percent more than the Android market. BlackBerry application store has become the second most profitable after Apple," he said.
