latest camera sensors for smartphones from Sharp

Sharp hopes other companies buy their components, the latest camera sensor when the device went into production in January 2012.

PRODUCER from Japan, Sharp, introduced the latest camera sensors for smartphones.

They claim it as the thinnest device in CMOS components industry is capable of generating stable optical images. Module on the back lighting feature can improve performance for low light conditions with the size of the f/25 and autofocus capabilities.

All features are packaged in a module with a thickness of 0.547 inches. The technology developed by Sharp's optical stabilizer uses lens-shift system to avoid blurry images when shooting or recording in video format.

Shooting can be done with a resolution of 12.1 Megapixels. While the video can be recorded with a resolution of 1.080p. Sharp plans to offer these sensors for use in SH-o1D smartphone to NTT DoCoMo, and 102SH for SoftBank.
