After introducing curved screen phones Galaxy Round in October , Samsung reportedly is preparing a three- sided screen phone for 2014.
Two sources close to the plans told Bloomberg on Friday ( 11/15/2013 ) , the three-sided design will make the right and left edge of the screen tilted further inside . While the center of the screen remain flat .
According to the sources , the design of the three sides of the screen allows the user to read the message from the right and left side of the screen .
However , the source did not say when the phone 's screen with three sides will be introduced to the market .
Samsung will use the screen on the phone is kind Youm . Youm is a Samsung display panel technology with a very slim design , lightweight , using the technology of Organic Light Emitting Diodes ( OLED ) power-efficient . Youm has been used on phones Galaxy Round .
Youm -screen can also be used on the television , the computer , to multimedia devices in the car.
As the largest smart phone manufacturer in the world , Samsung compete with Apple introducing innovative devices in the premium segment . One of the steps taken by Samsung is releasing a curved screen phone .
" We'll see a curved screen phones coming into the market . But it will be a big question , whether they got significant traction from users , " said analyst Van Baker , director of the research institute Gartner .
