Cellphone's preferred to take pictures and SMS



From surveri revealed that 85% of Adult Americans already have a cell phone. Pew Research survey was conducted twice, first in the spring and the second in the summer of 2012.


As quoted by Computerworld, Thursday (11/29/2012), the second survey conducted on 2581 mobile phone users aged 18 years and over. While the first survey involving 1954 respondents.


Activities take pictures, send email, SMS, accessing the data online, the more done via mobile phone. But the favorite to do is take pictures and send text messages.

According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project, the majority of American adults use smartphones and other mobile devices to take pictures and send text rather than download an application or online banking transactions.

A total of 82% of Americans use cell phones to take pictures, 80% use it to send or receive text messages. Only 29% are using their mobile devices to check the bank balance. Respondents also admitted using their phones to download applications (43%) and video (44%).

Meanwhile, the use of mobile phones to access the internet and email accounts began to decline. 56% of respondents are using mobile phones to access the internet, and 50% use it to send or receive email.
