Saudi Arabia prohibited iPhone and Tablet Galaxy
Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry has issued a ban on the use of the iPhone and tablet Galaxy in its security institutions, by reason of such devices vulnerability to hacker attacks.
IT experts in Saudi Arabia also agreed with the minister's decision and agreed that the iPhone and tablet Galaxy could violate the privacy of users and the community. Similarly, as quoted from Cellular News, Monday (18/07/2011).
"Every organization should have its own criteria to ask what you can and can not, for business use of telecommunications equipment," said Talha Jarad, an IT expert from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is not the first country to take action ban. Previously the United States (U.S.) and a number of European countries have also imposed a similar policy in their security institutions.
"Securing information is highly dependent on what an organization decide. Increased information security risks is closely related to the number of telecommunication devices they use in the office," he added.
