Pete Townshend expressed his disappointment with iTunes

LONDON - Reported by The Guardian, Thursday (03/11/2011), Townshend said, Apple should provide more financial and creative support for emerging artists. He also compares, music publisher with the banking industry.

Rock band The Who guitarist, Pete Townshend expressed his disappointment with iTunes. According to him, Apple's online music store it as 'digital vampire'.

"Is it because iTunes exist in the realm of the internet, such as Facebook and Twitter so that they can not provide service access to the artists, instead of like a vampire sucking the blood of digital artists, to the great commission," said Townhend at the John Peel Lecture at Salford.
